Full 15 Days Everest Base Camp Trek: Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

The Everest base camp trek begins by arriving in the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Flying down to the Tribhuvan International Airport is the only way of reaching Kathmandu when traveling from other countries.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla, Lukla to Phakding

From the capital city of Kathmandu, there is another flight to Lukla. The journey is a small but enchanting one. From Lukla, we begin the trek towards Phakding. The pleasant trek takes around three and a half hours to complete. The trekkers will pass through the Ghat village while overlooking Kusum-Kanguru to reach Phakding.

Day 3: Phakding – Namche Bazar

For the third day, you will be trekking from Phakding to Namche Bazar, which is located at a height of 3,440 meters. The trekking trail will pass through the Dudh Koshi suspension bridge and Sagarmatha National Park while the tremendous Himalayan peaks give the company. This moderate trek takes around six hours to complete.

Day 4: Acclimatization at Namche Bazar

Today, you will spend the day at Namche Bazar for acclimatization. Explore Namche Bazar and visit the Namche Museum and Namche Monastery. This day marks short hiking to various locations in Namche Bazar.

Day 5: Namche – Tengboche

From Namche, we will trek towards Tengboche, which is at a height of 3860m. The trekker will pass through the Imjatse River located in Phungitenga and also a Buddhist religious entrance. During this five-hour trek, the trekkers will get to see the exotic flora and fauna of Nepal.

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche

On this day, we will be trekking from Tengboche through  Pheriche and Imja Valley to reach Dingboche. The six to seven-hour trek will take you through the thick jungles as the Lobuche River gives the company. You can view some of the magnificent peaks of the Himalayan range from Dingboche.

Day 7: Acclimatization at Dingboche

The seventh day will be an acclimatization day. You will be doing short hikes in and around Dingboche. Dingboche is known for its exquisite tea houses and small stone walls.

Day 8: Dingboche – Dughla

The trek from Dingboche to Dughla will be a short trek of 3 hours. The mesmerizing trekking trail will take you through some of the most beautiful vistas to reach a height of 4,620 meters)

Day 9: Dughla – Lobuche

From Dughla, we will trek ahead to Lobuche through the Khumbu glacier. The trekking trail is a bit difficult at the beginning, and then the path becomes flat to reach an altitude of 4940 meters.

Day 10: Lobuche – Gorakshep- Everest Base Camp- Gorak Shep

It is the most exciting day of the entire camp. The trekking trail is all glacier. From the height of 4940 meters, you will be climbing to 5170m, which is Gorakshep, and further towards the Everest base camp at the height of 5364 meters. The glacier trekking trail is constant throughout the year, so you need to be careful during the trek. From Everest base camp, we return to Gorakshep.

Day 11: Gorakshep – Kala Pathar- Pheriche

From the eleventh day, we begin the descent journey. From Gorakshep, we will be trekking to Kala Pathar and then further to Pheriche.

Day 12: Pheriche – Namche Bazar

We will also descend to Namche Bazar from Pheriche through the Thugla ridge. It will be an easy trek with heavenly sights.

Day 13: Namche Bazar – Lukla

From Namche Bazar, we will further move towards Lukla. Explore the local markets of Namche Bazar before moving ahead.

Day 14: Lukla – Kathmandu

From Lukla, we will fly to the capital city of Kathmandu. As the flight is early in the morning, you can spend the day exploring the capital city.

Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu

It marks your last day in Nepal. You will be flying to your destinations from the capital city to end your Everest base camp trekking expedition.
